About the Artist
HRISTELIN (Hristo Vasilev Kirilov) is a Bulgarian guitarist, composer, and singer known for blending powerful rock energy with evocative Balkan motifs and cinematic soundscapes. With over two decades of experience, five studio albums and nine singles, he has crafted a unique musical identity through emotionally rich vocal songs and atmospheric instrumental pieces.
A graduate with honors from the National Academy of Music in Sofia, HRISTELIN began his career performing with well-known Bulgarian bands such as Sprint, Klas, and working alongside iconic artists including Petya Buyuklieva.
His guitar style is instantly recognizable: a fusion of clean spatial tones and expressive overdriven solos that feel as if the guitar itself is singing. This “singing guitar” sound is a signature element of his concerts and recordings.
Career Highlights
In 2011, HRISTELIN’s composition “Fire Dance” was submitted for Grammy consideration in the Best Rock Performance category. The press described him as “The Next Jeff Beck.” He has performed on bTV, First Bulgarian National Television, and Russia’s major national channels.
